Discovering Crowd-funding
We are just about halfway through our campaign on crowd-funding website Rockethub.com - and we've raised 1/3 of our goal. Not too shabby, I hope!

A few interesting notes I learned about crowd-funding:

1 - It's hard to keep perspective. Tough not to get too high when contributions are rolling in, and tougher not to get too low when there are lulls.

2 - How much is too much publicity? Is there never too much? Some people may only see 1 out of 4 of our posted messages about our campaign. Some will see all 4. Are those that see everything going to be annoyed by our attempts to reach those who miss most of them? I hope not...

3 - At this point, I don't believe that crowd-funding is an end-all beat-all determiner of the success or validity of our project. I honestly think that some people just don't see the contributions as fuel for our project and they literally don't realize or understand the rewards system. It's not a donation, not an investment, it's a pre-order. Is it Rockethub or Kick Starter's fault that this message isn't completely understood or is it ours?

4 - Yesterday, we finally posted to our project page a video clip which features me talking about Chomp! Chomp! Chomp! and which shows fun clips of my family. Will this be a big earner? We shall see...
